I have wrinkles and bags below my eyes beyond my years. I had corneal ulcers and dry eye syndrome which caused me to constantly tug at my eyes. The skin under my eyes and eyelids is very loose. I would like to correct the situation. I am willing to undergo surgery or other treatment. could you please advise what is safe and effective and what kind of results I can expect. Thank you.

A: To take care of the bags and wrinkles under the eyes, some of the extra bulging fat and skin can be removed. Because you have a history of dryness in the eyes, sometimes the eyelid is stabilized with a procedure called a Canthoplasty so that the eyelid does not come down after the surgery and make the dryness worse. Corneal Ulcers are usually infections of the cornea that require antibiotic treatments. Once the cornea is treated appropiately, eyelid surgery can be performed safely. |
