Heyy. Well I have never worn makeup before in my life [im 14]. But everyone else does so I decided well yeah I would. So the thing is i don't want to load my face down with makeup but just barely put any on there i guess you could say. I know I have oily skin so how do i prevent all the screw up from my skin? && how in the world do you put makeup on.. i mean what all is there to put on? sooo confusing. Thanks =)

Hi there. There is a lot of product and choices so I understand how it could be confusing. People spend hours of training developing techniques for this info. Your best bet is to find something light, that is also oil free (i.e., Clinique, or Revlon 'active wear'). Avoid using your finger-tips, as they can contribute to the oil producing problem.
Use a sponge or brush (I personally like brushes because the sponges absorb makeup). A very important thing to consider when making makeup "look natural" is choosing the right color.
Try getting a second opinion when you're in the stores from a professional, and test it on your hand, then
look at it in the sun after you purchase it just to be safe. Natural sunlight is your best friend in determining how fresh & clean something looks. Be careful with the powder. If you feel you are getting oily during the day, try patting the oil off with a tissue vs. applying more powder (which will eventually contribute to an oily face again).
Since you're just getting started, take it easy. Try some powder, a little mascara, and soft lip- gloss to start-don't over do it. Good luck!
