Dr. Renee Cobos is a board certified dermatologist and has practiced dermatology in California for 18 years. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Cobos specializes in Cosmetic and General Dermatology including the treatment of all diseases of skin, hair and nails, skin cancer surgery and total cosmetic skin care and rejuvenation for the face and body.She has extensive training in Cosmetic Dermatology including the Candela Gentle Max laser, V-Beam perfecta laser, Smooth Beam laser, The Smooth Peel Erbium laser, the Fraxel 1500 system, IPL Fotofacials, Silk Peel Dermal Infusion, Glycolic Peels, TCA Peels, Botox, Restylane, Juvederm, and Radiesse.
She is a 2007 Orange County Physician of Excellence Honoree, has been listed as a 2007 Top Doctors in Orange County - Orange Coast Magazine.She is an Assistant Clinical Professor in Dermatology at UCI Medical School and is on the medical staff of St Jude Hospital in Fullerton, California.She is a Contributing Dermatology Textbook Author for major Dermatology textbooks.
Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Cobos served as chief of Dermatology at Kaiser Permanente for 8 years.
Dr. Cobos has served as President, Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer and Member-at-large of the Orange County Dermatology Society.
Dr. Cobos has served as a Presidential appointee to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Advisory committee on HIV and AIDS.

Founder of the special Transform-a-Life ™ program, Dr. Cobos invites community residents to bring to her attention those who need, but cannot afford, dermatology care. Anyone who has a condition which negatively affects their quality of life, whether from severe acne, a disfiguring birthmark, or other laser-treatable skin problem, may request consideration for treatment at no cost. Dr. Cobos is the founder of “The Day You Deserve”, a special program for the Walk Among the Stars cancer survivor models ( 2007). The WATS fashion show benefits the Virginia K. Crosson Cancer Center, St Jude Hospital, Fullerton, Ca. Dr. Cobos has been a long time member and past co chair of the Walk Among the Stars Committee
In addition to being a member of the PTA of both of her children's school, Dr. Cobos works closely with the American Academy of Dermatology to actively promote sun protection awareness programs for the local elementary schools including free skin cancer screenings for students and their families and promoting and obtaining grants for sun shade structures.
Dr. Cobos provides free dermatology treatment for the uninsured and underinsured population of Fullerton, Ca. as a volunteer dermatologist for the St Jude Community Clinic in Fullerton.
